Sterilization: a UV-C germicidal lamp at the coil to kill the mold and bacteria that breed on a wet evaporator, or an in-duct PCO/ionization purifier (REME-HALO, iWave) that pushes oxidizers into the living space to neutralize odors, VOCs, and pathogens at the source. Humidity: a ducted whole-home dehumidifier to pull the moisture that drives mold and discomfort, or a bypass humidifier for dry heating months. Ventilation: an ERV or HRV that brings balanced fresh air into a tight home while recovering the energy, or a controlled fresh-air intake with a motorized damper that meets code ventilation without a humidity penalty.
